Posted by Ronnel on Dec 21, '07 12:55 AM for everyone I've been looking at Dave Hill's photos. He manipulates his photos heavily. Too much I should say, but that is his style and I like it. Here's my attempt as I deconstruct his Post Processing. There is no standard work flow for me. I combined many tecniques to do this. The Dave Hill look is not just the PP but also the photography style. His style is unique. Wild angles, composition and sharp backgounds. My shot of Gina is not even close to his coz my background is not sharp.

Paul malakas lights nya to have a small opening. Plus he sharpens all details and anhance colors as well. Di ko sadya, when I lighted my abs cbn shots and processed it, even before I saw hi website, medyo same na processing pero mas todo process nya. Extreme!
oo nga po eh, extreme talaga hehe. ah i see, i don't really have the luxury with studio light setups but now i see and get what you mean. =)
well this would be yer own style ronnel great job here, yer skills is just awesome...
I think I will keep what I do. Will stick to my workflow and this PP of other, well just to practice and so that I know I can do it too. Juts for fun :)
Paul, possible din, na he took several shot like you said. Matrabaho nga lang to select his subject and then paste it again to the same background. He's nuts and good at the same time. Madami kapareho nya. They all look similar.
| photogguru wrote on Dec 22, '07, edited on Dec 22, '07 i like it too .. maybe just a little more and and the background will come out alive and clearer.. i'm thinking of 2 exposure shot taken like one for the main subject and one for the background then processed separately with your workflow and then combined or combined first and then processed as a whole .. just a hunch for me .. keep going bro!! clap clap "D
